![]() | Prof. Sonia Aïssa (IEEE Fellow)Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), Canada Sonia Aissa (Fellow IEEE) received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1998. Since then, she has been with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), University of Quebec, Montreal, QC, Canada, where she is a Full Professor. Her research interests include the modeling, design and performance analysis of wireless communication systems and networks, and wireless power. From 1996 to 1997, she was a Researcher with the Department of Electronics and Communications of Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, and with the Wireless Systems Laboratories of NTT, Kanagawa, Japan. From 1998 to 2000, she was a Research Associate at INRS, Montreal. From 2000 to 2002, while she was an Assistant Professor, she was a Principal Investigator in the major program of personal and mobile communications of the Canadian Institute for Telecommunications Research, leading research in radio resource management for wireless networks. From 2004 to 2007, she was an Adjunct Professor with Concordia University, Montreal. She was Visiting Invited Professor at Kyoto University, Japan, in 2006, and at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2015. Professor Aїssa is the Founding Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group in Montreal, 2004-2007; served as TPC Symposium Chair or Cochair in IEEE ICC '06 '09 '11 '12; Program Cochair of IEEE WCNC 2007; TPC Cochair of IEEE VTC-S 2013; TPC Symposia Chair of IEEE Globecom 2014; and TPC Vice-Chair of IEEE Globecom 2018. She served as the TPC Chair of IEEE ICC 2021. Her main editorial activities include: Area Editor, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS, 2014-2019; Editor, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS, 2004-2012; Associate Editor and Technical Editor, IEEE COMMUNICATIONS MAGAZINE, 2004-2015; and Associate Editor, Wiley Security and Communication Networks Journal, 2007-2012. She currently serves as Editor-At-Large for the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS. Her awards include the NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) University Faculty Award in 1999; the Quebec Government FRQNT Strategic Faculty Fellowship in 2001-2006; the INRS Performance Award multiple times since 2004, for outstanding achievements in research, teaching and service; and the Technical Community Service Award from the FRQNT Centre for Advanced Systems and Technologies in Communications, in 2007. She is corecipient of five IEEE Best Paper Awards and of the 2012 IEICE Best Paper Award; and recipient of NSERC Discovery Accelerator Supplement Award. She served as Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) and as Member-At-Large of its Board of Governors in 2013-2016 and 2014-2016, respectively. Professor Aїssa is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. |
![]() | Prof. Mohsen Guizani (IEEE Fellow)Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), UAE Mohsen Guizani (Fellow, IEEE) received the BS (with distinction), MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA in 1985, 1987 and 1990, respectively. He is currently a Professor of Machine Learning at the Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), Abu Dhabi, UAE. Previously, he worked in different institutions in the USA. His research interests include applied machine learning and artificial intelligence, smart city, Internet of Things (IoT), intelligent autonomous systems, and cybersecurity. He became an IEEE Fellow in 2009 and was listed as a Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher in Computer Science in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Dr. Guizani has won several research awards including the “2015 IEEE Communications Society Best Survey Paper Award”, the Best ComSoc Journal Paper Award in 2021 as well 5 Best Paper Awards from ICC and Globecom Conferences. He is the author of 11 books, more than 1000 publications and several US patents. He is also the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Communications Society Wireless Technical Committee (WTC) Recognition Award, the 2018 AdHoc Technical Committee Recognition Award, and the 2019 IEEE Communications and Information Security Technical Recognition (CISTC) Award. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Network and is currently serving on the Editorial Boards of many IEEE Transactions and Magazines. He was the Chair of the IEEE Communications Society Wireless Technical Committee and the Chair of the TAOS Technical Committee. He served as the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Speaker and is currently the IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer. |
![]() | Prof. Chengxiang Wang (IEEE Fellow)Southeast University, China Cheng-Xiang Wang received the B.Sc. and M.Eng. degrees in communication and information systems from Shandong University, China, in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in wireless communications from Aalborg University, Denmark, in 2004. He has been with Southeast University, Nanjing, China, as a professor since 2018, and he is now the Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering. He is also a professor with Purple Mountain Laboratories, Nanjing, China. He has authored 4 books, 3 book chapters, and over 700 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, including over 270 IEEE journal/magazine papers and 33 highly cited papers. He has also delivered 39 invited keynote speeches and 24 tutorials in international conferences. His current research interests include wireless channel measurements and modeling, 6G/B6G ubiquitous intelligent connectivity networks, and electromagnetic information theory. Dr. Wang is a Member of the Academia Europaea (The Academy of Europe) and a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE), IEEE, IET and China Institute of Communications (CIC), an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer in 2019 and 2020, and a Highly-Cited Researcher recognized by Clarivate Analytics in 2017-2020 and 2025. He was an Executive Editorial Committee Member of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS from 2019 to 2025. He has served as an Editor for over ten international journals, including the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS, from 2007 to 2009, the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON VEHICULAR TECHNOLOGY, from 2011 to 2017, and the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS, from 2015 to 2017. ![]() | Prof. Zheng Yan (IEEE Fellow)Xidian University, China Dr. Zheng Yan is currently a Huashan distinguished professor at the Xidian University, China. She is an External Member of Finnish Academy of Science and Letters, a Fellow of IEEE, IET, AAIA, and AIIA. She received the B. Eng in electrical engineering and M. Eng in computer science and engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1994 and 1997. She received a second M. Eng in information security from National University of Singapore in 2000. She earned the Licentiate of Science and the Doctor of Science in Technology in electrical engineering from Helsinki University of Technology (i.e., Aalto University) in 2005 and 2007. She joined the Nokia Research Center, Helsinki in 2000, working as a senior researcher until 2011. She also worked as a visiting professor and a Finnish Academy Fellow at the Aalto University, Finland for over seven years. Her research interests are in cyber trust, security, privacy, and data analytics. She has led 30+ projects, sponsored by EU, Academy of Finland, NSFC, MOST, telecom industry, etc. At the helm of a research team with 70+ members, she has supervised 180+ post-doctoral researchers and graduates. She has authored 460+ publications, with 300+ first and corresponding authorships, featured prominently in top-tier venues. 18 of them are top 0.1% or 1% highly-cited ESI papers. She is the sole author of two books on trust management, utilized in teaching for a decade. She invented 220+ patents, among which 150+ patents (including 83 independent international inventions) have been adopted by industry, a few of them have been incorporated into international standards and widely used in practice with billions of users. She has delivered 50+ invited keynote speeches and talks at international conferences and world-leading companies. Her Google Scholar citation is over 21,000 with an H-index of 72. Zheng served and is serving as an EiC/area/associate/guest editor for 60+ reputable journals, e.g., co-EiC of Information Sciences, associate editor of ACM Computing Surveys, area editor of Information Fusion. She is a steering committee member of several conferences, a general/program chair for 50+ international conferences. She is a founding steering committee co-chair of IEEE International Conference on Blockchain, which becomes a leading venue in the field. She has served as a reviewer for the National Science and Technology Invention Award and has participated in evaluation committees for major funding programs in China and abroad. She is currently serving as a Member of IEEE Fellow Committee. Dr. Yan has been recognized as a Stanford World Top 2% Scientist since 2019, an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researcher since 2020, and a ScholarGPS World Top 0.05% Highly Ranked Scholar - Prior Five Years (2024).
